Hi everyone, I am 18 years old and 6.5 weeks pregnant with my first baby. Before I found out I was pregnant I was having all the classic symptoms, now that I found out(which was about 2 weeks ago) I only have sore breasts. Nausea is just starting to play a role too, but I am still not convinced. I have been to my first pre-natal visit before, but the thing is he didn't even make me take a pregnancy test. He did do the full exam, take blood and urine, but how does he truley know that I am pregnant? I need some real convincing. My tummy isn't getting much bigger and my uterus doesn't feel any different. Maybe I am just being paranoid, but I am getting worried that something is wrong.

Well why dont you take a pregnancy test yourself? Sometimes it wont set in that quick, like you wont believe it til you see that tummy! Lol but if you are sure you are pregnant then you should start believing it. Take care of youself until the next appt when they will hear the heart beat and dont worry too much ok! Welcome to the boards! Take care!

Hey there!
Dont worry about ur tummy getting bigger! Some people dont even get a belly till about 28 weeks! But if ur feeling nauseous, and have some signs of pregnant and missed a period, usually u are and im pretty sure at the doctors office, they also test the urine for pregnancy... But if it would make u feel better,u can always get another one done at the doctors office or get a home pregnancy test again Smile

My doctor did the same thing. They weren't even going to test me to be sure I really was. They were just going to take my word for it and I didn't believe it either so they did another test right in the office. It took a long time to sink in..Basically until I had real bad morning sickness that landed me in the hospital because of dehydration. It will take awhile to set it. And you wouldn't have a belly at 6.5 weeks. I mean some women do...I personally did. But majority of women don't.

Actually when they are doing a physical on you, and they check your abdomin, they can feel if it is enlarged or not, if its enlarged, congratulations you have a baby in there! Lol
