I've had an earlobe cyst for quite a while, a couple of months i'd say. For some reason it begins to build pus up beside it. I was fortunate enough to have 'accidentally' prodded it with a pin and it became very inflamed and the gp informed me it was an abscess. I was given anti-biotics, and the inflammation and swelling went but the cyst remained. In a follow up appointment, the cyst was confirmed and I was told I just had to get on with it. A few days afterwards and the pus seems to be building up a little. It seems to grow and get smaller quite a few times within a day. At the moment it's not noticeable so it's not too much of an issue, but i'd rather not have a huge abscess in there again because it's really awkward ... People asking why your earlobe is twice the size of the other Cool . Any idea if there are remedies or ways of making sure the pus doesn't build up to begin with? I can live with the cyst, i'd rather live without the pus though.

Thanks.

Tea Tree Oil for cysts
I had to have on of these cysts surgically removed. as i have a habit of finding bumps in my earlobe and squeezing, this happened to me again. The cyst is usually caused from an infection when the bump is squeezed but pops from the inside. As time went on my cyst began to grow, and in my complete panic i decided to randomly try dabbing some Tea Tree Oil on it, to my surprise my cyst began to drain itself over the next few days, and within a week of using the tea tree oil, my cysts was gone! no $400 surgery to have it removed, no needles, and no pain.

Good luck!
