If you are on birth control pills, you can stop your periods on your own. Afteryou take the first three weeks of the pill, just start your next pack right away instead of taking the placebo pills. This is safe to do, but some women experience breakthrough bleeding or spotting while doing it. It is a lot easier to do if you are taking a monophasic pill (hormones are the same throughout the month.

Yeah like the above post says, you can skip your period on the pills. However, you should start your period at least once every 3 months.
