I know they say you're healed but I couldn't put in a tampon or have sex for a while after getting the green light. It just takes time and even then they feel a little awkward...

A friend of mine is still having trouble with tampons, and her son was born in .January Shocked

she says it easier with the non-applicator ones.

This will sound silly, but try lubing up the tip of the tampon and applicator. Once you get the tampon in, it won't hurt. It is the skin on the way in that is sore.

Think of it this way, you just rubbed off .A.L.L the skin on your *ahem* area there. Rubbed it off and stretched it out. That will take some time to heal. It's like road burn on your hoo-ha.

It will get better. Sex is a practice, practice, practice thing. The more you do it, the less it hurts. The less you do it, however, the more it will become an issue because you'll be afraid and tense up making it hurt more.

Lube. Take it slow and remember, it's all about having fun.

does it usually take 3 months for your period to start after giving birth? That seems like a long time. I thought you count 28 days after you give birth for your next scheduled period.

after you have a child your period isn't the same for most women and it doesn't come "on schedule".It could take one month or 8 months. It just depends on the person.

I could not wear a tampon before or after my kids, even with lube. I have read articles where they say that tampons aren't good for you. It was like back in the saddle for me with a kotex. As far as sex goes, sometimes it can take a year for your body to heal properly after having a baby like .Ingi says you just have to keep trying and use lube and take it easy.
