Q: Mucous In Stool

My 14 year old daughter has complained of mucous in and around stool. No pain but she is convinced she has something terribly wrong and nothing I say can comfort her. She is being treated for a mild uti and is on antibiotics-could this be the cause of the mucous?

the mucous could be coming from the front and she could be having a yeast infection. i'm not a doctor but i experienced this last week and have just gotten my test results that indicate so. antibiotics can cause yeast infection.
