Q: Breakthrough Bleeding...

I was hoping someone could tell me about breakthrough bleeding. I started yaz 2 weeks ago today and I began bleeding about 5 days ago. I should also point out that I had a baby a month ago and was still spotting from that. My postpartum bleeding was never very much, more like light spotting, and I thought it had tapered off and was ending. The bleeding i'm experiencing now is more like a light period. So I don't know if it's from the pill or still postpartum.

Does this sound like breakthrough bleeding? If so, how long does it last?

Thanks!

Yes, it does sound like breakthrough bleeding, but it sounds intensified by you being postpartum.

The first 1-3 months on the pill for a woman definately has the disadvantage of having btb. You truly may need to weather the bleeding out, and see hoe the pill affects you 2-3 months down the road.

Ok, thanks. I tried looking breakthrough bleeding up but couldn't find a description of the flow. I didn't know if it was supposed to be really light spotting or like a period or what. I think it's finally tapering off, thank god! I've been bleeding for a month now and it sucks!

Thanks again!
