Q: Constant Burping, Or Something Like That...?

I'll start by saying I have never, to my knowledge burped in the sense that most people do, like a loud belch. I try to, but I can't. But I have really tiny "burps" almost like my throat is growling. Its feels like just a very small amount, if any, gas is even being expelled. I feel that if I could burp one good time, it would help these annoying little things go away, but I can't. Lately they have been constant, about one per minute, give or take, unless i'm laying down or reclined slightly. It only occurs when i'm sitting up straight or standing. I have no other medical condidtions related to the digestive system. (no frequent heartburn, ect.) and I dont feel like this is a problem, its just really annoying. Ive heard it might be swallowed air, but I don't chew gum or drink carbonated beverages. I drink 4 bottles of water per day. Could this problem be my diet? Do some people just not burp loudly, so this is what happens because of that? What should I do?Any help would be great. Thanks.

Burp, Burp, Burp!
Unlike your description, my burping is more severe. I hardly have heartburn associated with the burping, but when I do it is bad enough to prevent me from sleeping. My burping started a lil over a month ago, and over the counter antacids don't help at all. The burping is constant and quite an annoyance! I have gotten to the point that I fear to eat and when I do I have to force myself to eat. I never drink anything carbonated, non coffee drinker, etc. This problem just started out of the blue and I called a gastrologist and he scheduled an appt for me to come in and have him put the scope down my throat. The gastro guy says that it can be any number of things and the only way to be certain was to get scoped. he suggested that it can even be an infection. He told me in the meantime before the appt date arrives to stay away from any foods and supplements that are toxic, fried greasy foods, fats, etc. On my own, I decided to keep a journal of what I eat and observe if certain things make it worse. I hope I find a solution to this very very annoying burping aliment.

I've been experiencing this for about 3 years now, and it is *extremely* frustrating. It seems that nobody has a solution to this problem and it is driving me completely insane. I've read from a few places that Oil of Oregano may be a possible cure, but my parents are too sceptical to order it. I'm not sure they understand how much this is effecting me emotionally.

yes
same thing here with a shortness of breath as well due to gas moving up the esophagus. 3 months now. next week is my endoscopy. ECG, EKG all normal including x rays and bloodtests. maybe bacteria helico pylori is responsible. oil of oregano can kill this bacteria along with other anti biotics. i've tried oregano leaves now for 2 days. i hope it will work. God is also out there to help us.
