Positive Test.. Few Questions?
Posted: 12-02-06 16:55pm

Hello all I have been on here off and on for a couple of months. My bf and I have been ttc for a year and this morning I took a test and it was positive! This afternoon I went to my doctor and got blood work done to make sure. First question is when you get your blood work done how long does it take to get the results back usually. The doctor said you should get back you results within 2-3 days and your prenatal results in 10 days? I might sound dumb but what does all this mean? Why does a prenatal take 10 days? Also I took provera in october to bring on a period and my period did come as scheduled, but I decided to not take provera in november, I guess it was instinct lol. Right now I am sick as a dog for a week now and I cant sleep at all, is this normal? I am happy that the test came back pos but I am scared that the blood work will come back neg and I got my hopes up for nothing. A urine test is accurate right? In most cases? I am so happy but very overwhelmed because this is my first and I am a bit scared. Thanks, sorry for the rambling on I just feel a bit nervous I guess. Thanks

False positives are very rare in urine tests. The only reason it would read you as pregnant is if your body has the hormones in it (only when preggers)

your symptoms are failry normal. Everyone one is different so their is really no way to tell when it will stop. Hope everything goes well for you!
