My last perod was october 25 , 2006. I had unprotected sex on nov 11 ,2006 . Till then no sex. I have not had my period yet. I took a pregnancy today on dec. 2, 2006 and it was negative. I went to planned parent hood and took a preganancy test and it was negative. I am going for a full exam on dec 15. I am affraid I might have ectopic or ovarian cyst. What would cause this? What else could be the problem. I usaully have regular period periods. (28-33 days) Sad

Aww rene I hope it's nothing serious.

My periods suddenly changed this year, so maybe you're just late maybe you didn't ovulate or ovulated late - it happens sometimes.

I hope everything is ok good luck and let us know how it goes Smile

I'm pretty sure that you would still get a positive pregnancy test with an ectopic pregnancy so I wouldn't worry too much about that. It could just be a messed up cycle for no particular reason, it happens!

At least you're getting things checked out, that should put your mind at rest.

the test was negative. I would of been pregnant by now. I dont think its ectopic I think its a ovarian cyst. Crying
or Very sad I am scared because I dont want to take birth control to fix the problem. I was trying to get pregnant. And I still do but, now I have to wait till my next period comes. Crying
or Very sad you know? When will that be? Sad

Aww rene I feel you hunni.

I just had to take hormones to try and sort my periods out - it's not a bad thing.
Most healthy couple take upto 12 months to get pregnant. How long have you been trying hunni?

Keep thinking positive, it usually happens eventually. There's a girl here called jo she's been trying for ages and it finally happened, so there is hope - never lose hope rene.

Thanks Kia_breizzze. . .
What type of hormones? Sad where can I get them? Even if I have a three year old daughter I would be infertile? Confused Out of the whole time, since I started my period since I was 11 years old I have never had more than a month with no period and not pregnant. But, thanks for understanding. Cool

Rene they were prescribed by my doctor - they need to be the right ones for the condition they are treating.

It is common to find that a second child can take longer to conceive.
If you haven't got pregnant within 12 months you ought to get fertility investigation.

as of today no period yet. What could that mean besides pregnancy because I took another test again. My last first menstral period was oct. 25 ,2006. I'm afraid I have ovarian cyst. Crying
or Very sad

you need to go and see your doctor and have some investigations done. It's no good fretting about something it might not even be.

what might not be done? I'm not sure I understand you.

If the doc suspects an ovarian cyst then he will probably refer you to the hospital to have an u/s or something. Cysts are quite common - I was told I had one when I was pregnant. I was told that it was nothing to worry about, that cysts are very common and they burst on their own. However, if you are worried that you may have .Polycystic .Ovary .Syndrome then that can affect fertility. Just go and get checked out!
