Please if someone can help me. My 4 year old daughter has a yucky stomache bug and has been vommitting all morning. She has started throwing up what appears to be bile? Is this alright? Someone told me it was, but it seems pretty gross. She has no fever or anything else and is drinking plenty of water. Any suggestions?

the Yucky Stuff
Hi there. I have an 8 year old daughter. She also had a stomache thing about a month ago and was also throwing up. Same symptoms, no fever etc. It passed after a few days. I had her eating saltine crackers. Even though she would eventually throw those up also. They need to have something in their tummies even when they are sick because if they dont eat, they will start getting dry heaves and that can be very painful for them. Also get her some gatorade to drink. Just water is not doing much for her. It helps though. If it doesnt pass within a few days I would definately take her to see a doc. Hope this helps! Good luck.

Usually when u throw up bile its because there is nothing else in there stomachs, try feeding her anything as long as she is eating something, also my mum used to give me and my siblings dry toast when we had these stomach bugs just so we were eating something

from someone who cant wait to have a jelly bean all of their own

I know this post is a little late but if anybody reads this. Give your child ginger ale because it acts just like the bi- carbonates produced for your stomach. **drink slowly and little amounts at a time **making it easier for your stomach to become neutral. I don't know why but rice pudding seems to calm my stomach. Maybe because it has cream a neutral and no acids.
