the Waiting Is Killing Me

I am a 25 year old male 5'8" 180 lbs (my bodyfat is not that high, prior to six months ago I worked out a lot)

anyone know what could be going on?

I went to the doctor because I was having mild but persistant pain in my lower right abdomin. It has been ongoing for a few weeks now. He did a urine test, some type of blood test, and a ct scan of my upper abdomin. All tests have come back normal. The spot that hurts is tender but there is no rebound tenderness.

Recently I saw what seemed to be bright red blood on the tp after I was done and thought that alone (based on history below) it may not have been to huge of an issue but with the abdominal pain may be more serious. So, I went back in to see my doc and he said that it looks like I may have an inflamed anal crypt and that is more then likely where the blood is coming from.

Is it possible that the red I am seeing is from a food coloring? This last week I have neem drinking some hawaiian punch (has red 40). The reason I wonder is that the red seems very watery. Not at all the consistancy of blood.

Some of my history:

6 years ago went to the doctor because after I had a bowel movement that was very liquidy it turned the water red. I was concerned that I was bleeding somewhere in my intestines. The doctor checked me out and said that he did not see any signs of blood or hemroids but, he thought that there was probably a tiny hemroid that he could not see or that I was passing a dye.

For years a would see a little red on the tiolete paper about once a month but was not too concerned becuase of my previous doctor visit.
