I guess you guys might have seen her on oprah a couple of weeks ago. She was on a tv show here last night and there's 5 cries that all babies do and each obviously have a different meaning.

Neh (listen for the n)- i'm hungry

eh - burp me

ouw - i'm tired

eairh (listen for the r) - I have lower wind pain

heh - i'm uncomfortable (too hot, too cold, nappy change etc)

lachlan would not settle for like an hour last night then we heard him doing the eh one and I kept burping him for 10 minutes and boy did he burp then he was asleep straight away!!!!

Where's the screaming "waaahhh" cry? That's what finn does a lot. It means "i'm tired but won't go to sleep".

It's the pre-cry sounds you are suppose to listen for. I always watch a baby story and try to pick out which cry the baby is making. It was really interesting, i'm going to try it when my baby gets here. I'm glad it worked for you, it was cool how she was in that room with all those mothers and helped them hear the specific sounds and in a couple of minutes every baby in the room was silent and happy.

Yes i'm keeping her. Erik wouldn't respond to any of the phone calls or e-mails from the lawyer asking him where he stood on the issue so he got sent some forms saying that if he didn't respond in five days it would be assumed he was in support of the plan and we would go on with it without any involvement on his part, which his mother responded to "on his behalf" saying "they" did not support it and that they were "seeking legal representation to obtain parental custody" blah blah blah Rolling Eyes . So the adoption is off, in which case I planned on keeping her (as I could never let her go to erik's horrible family), but now their plan is to take me to court and take her away from me so that "they" can have full custody (they use "we" in all their letters... Which I have no idea why because it really should have anything to do with his family, just him and me. But it's all his mother). Which hopefully is not going to work.

it doesn't have anything whatsoever to do with her! She has no rights, the only people who should be involved in this situation are you and erik.

Yeah it's too bad because things might have turned out completely different if she hadn't involved herself. Erik was actually telling me to lie about the baby being his so that his mom would leave me alone and I could put the baby up for adoption, so it's not like he even really cares about the adoption plans, he's just going along with whatever his mom tells him to do. She's pretty annoying. I don't see the point because i'm going to try my hardest to make sure it doesn't get her anywhere, and that when erik is granted visitations that it's only him allowed to see the baby, and hopefully only supervised visits. It's not like the courts will force me to give his mom visitation rights. It's so annoying to have another woman tell you what to do with your own child, and threaten to try to take it away. It's like... Who the hell does she think she is, this baby has been growing in .M.E for nine months, not her. The thing that makes it even more annoying is that she said I should get an abortion when she first found out I was pregnant. It makes me so sad to have to bring a baby into all this ugliness. All I can do right now is pray.

I think she just thnks a little baby is going to make her happy and she can play mommy. Even though her boyfriend lives with her with his four daughters who she doesn't take care of, swears and yells at. What I honestly think it is that she thinks taking this baby and pretending like it's hers and stuff will make up for the baby she lost, because her first baby died when he was like two months old or something. I just think she's needy and wants a little baby to love her or some crap, why else would a woman in her late 40's all of a sudden want to raise someone else's child when she already has tons of little brats who she can't control and doesn't care about running around her house. She already screwed up on her own two sons, who both still live in her basement and never go to school, so I don't know why the hell she wants to raise another child. I just want her to screw off.

Talking about this makes me need cookies.

I am sure that if it actually goes that far that they will have some one come in and assess the two homes and they will make an informed decision.

Are you parents for you keeping the baby and are they willing to help you with the child?

Are you planning on going to child support from the father of the baby? If he doesn't go to school then he should have plenty of time to get a job and send you the money. Maybe that is what she is worried about, she may be worried about having to pay for your baby. And I think that he should. Just to make sure that the baby is taken care of.

Sorry so many ?S I am just really wonderin....

If she was worried about him having to pay for the baby she wouldn't have made the adoption impossible. My parents are crazy supportive. My dad has been helping me so much I can't even explain, he won't let anyone screw me over either. I want to leave erik's name off the birth certificate and say I don't know he's the dad, which means he won't have to pay child support if I say I don't know he's the dad, but he will also have to go through the courts to get dna testing and prove he is the father before he can get any visits. I'm not as worried about the money... I'm going to talk to a lady from children services here and lawyer and see what they say I should do regarding child support and stuff. So that I do what will keep baby safe and with me. I think if I went for child support he'ld be in a better position to get more time with her.
