Umm if you have hairdye in your bathroom for cupboard for say a year or more - is it still ok to use? Embarassed

it's permanent stuff - you have to mix the bottles together and it hasn't been mixed yet.

There's no date or anything on the box....

I want to dye my hair pink. Lol
i've got blonde (i need to go blonde) and red....

Lol, silly .Kia! I dyed my hair green once (it was supposed to be blue darn it!!!) my friend did my hair, and I did hers. And of course hers came out to the exact purple it showed on the box, but mine? Noooooo .I guess that's why .I don't let people touch my hair now. But .I do have a free hair-do to be done by my moms cousin at her salon. I want to have it thinned and highlighted!
And to your question, .I would imagine it's still ok as long as it hasn't been mixed. Also if there isn't an expiration date on it, .I'd assume it's good for a very long time. If you use it, my fingers are crossed that your hair doesn't turn pink! And even if it does, pink is in these days!! Laughing

It should be just fine. I've dyed my hair a million times and sometimes i'd have the dye for a long time before I did it.

I've used old dye before, never had a problem. Actually I kind of routinely use old dye cuz I buy it all on sale and save it until I feel like dyeing my hair...

When you open the container you should know if it is still good or not. Usually when you open a new package of hair dye it is white, beige, or a fairly light color. That is because it hasn't been exposed to oxygen to start the oxidation process. It is when the air hits it that it starts to process.

They usually won't start processing until the developer is mixed to the color.

Good luck. My daugher dyed her hair once, using one of those hot topic brand colors. It was insanely pink. She loved it.
