My daughter is now 7 mo. Old. When she went in for her 6 mo. Baby wellness check she had lost some weight, 13.8 lbs down to 13.02 lbs. I took her in 2 wks later and she was 12.97 lbs. She is not crawling yet in fact she is reaching those mile stones at a slow rate. She is eating almost 2 cups of rice cereal, one jar of food, drinking 2 juice cups, and nursing every two hrs in between her food. I do not understand why she is loosing weight. Her doc. Told me that the amount she was taking in was a suffiecent amount and she should be chubby, but she isn't. She is quite skinny. Her arms and legs are very thin. Her bms movements have now become infrequent and difficult. The last 3 she has needed help to expell her poo. I do not know what to do...The doc.'s do not seem to think it is a major issue. But I can't help but worry and wonder why???

I was wondering if she's going through a growth spurt? In addition to her weight, are you checking her height? Is she more active lately? The new addition of food definitely changes her bowel movements, both frequency and texture. Be careful of the juice, which I am sure you are as a mom, as it tends to bung some kids up (my daughter is 12 months and I still can't give her apple juice or she's constipated for days). Trust your gut on this one; you know what's best for her. Get a second opinion to confirm your situation if you feel it's necessary. Don't worry yourself too much about the milestones. My daughter began crawling at 8 months and walking at nine months.
