Hi, I am a new member of this site, my name is kryssja.

I have two torn ligaments in my right ankle. The first ligament tore some 6 or so years ago, but at that time I did not know that it was a ligament that tore, I just thought it was a bad sprain.
I realized that something was wrong with my ankle soon after that whenever I tried to run and I would feel like something shifted in my ankle and I would experience pain and have to stop.
Now, due to that ligament and I guess the pressure it was putting on my ankle, a couple years later, I tore another ligament...This one was more severe I think, and I went to the doctor about it. He ordered an mri of the atfl, but I have not yet been able to do this mri because they are very expensive were I am.
At this moment, my ankle has started to hurt again...Mostly when I walk....But sometimes when its just there, it hurts very much.

Can anyone give me some advice on this matter? I have another doctor's appointment next week, but is there anything I can do? What are my options in terms of healing?
