Just found out my girlfriend is pregnant today so non stop research on the net.

All sites recommend taking folic acid 400micrograms.
So my question to the ladies out there is did you start taking them as soon as you found out you were pregnant ?

Thanks alot for any help.

I was given enough for the first 3 months when I went to the doctor's the first time. Get some from the health shop or pharmacy, they are really good they help to prevent spina bifida and are really worth taking. I started them when I was 5 weeks.
