Q: Pill Leeway ?

I have a question:

i've been on the pill for about 5 months and have always been very good about taking it on time...Until this month. There was one day this month where I forgot and ended up remembering and taking the pill, but 3 hours late.

I've never been that late before and obviously won't do that again, but my question is, just how much of a higher risk does that mistake put me at? I know there is a certain amount of leeway with combination pills, but I have heard everything from 1 hour to 8 hours, so i'm a bit confused...

Thanks!

Extremely eHealthy
It is only 1 hour for the progestin only mini pill.

You have up to a 12 hour leeway until a pill is considered 'missed', and you would need to use back-up for a week.
