First of all I just joined and a little bio... Well im a 19 year old female student, just trying to make ends meat while getting a degree in nursing so that I can help people that have questions, like here!

But I have questions now.. So for my concerns.

Okay just a bit of background, about a week ago I had some nasty diarrhea for 12 hours. It was to the extent (not to be gross) but I could make out undigested food eaten the day before.
So the next day I had a horrible sharp pain in my upper left abdomen. The pain was so bad I started to shake. So I finally consulted a natural doctor family friend. (while I know nothing can take the place of technology, finacially at the moment a favor is all I can afford.) he poked around and come to a conclusion that he thought my descending colon was contracted and not relaxing. So a heating pad and relaxation was in order.
Well the next day I still was experiencing the same pain in the same place, but in waves. I payed another visit to him a bit later, and he did some magic and told me that an enema was needed for my constipaton.
So long story short, I had a bm and became more so concerned. The stool was very narrow, very mucousy, floated, and was streaked with a small amount of blood. Since the enema I have become constipated again and still will get the same random pains that last only a couple seconds or mins.
I've become very concerned that this is not just something I ate... But something alittle more serious and in need of some attention. Does anyone have any suggestions for causes? Ibs? Cancer? What do I do now? Really any kind of response will be appreciated. I always have been generally healthy and try to eat a well balanced diet. Apparently i'm getting a bit scared of what I dont know is causing this.
