Help! I'm Scared...i Have a Bump!

I am not a profesional, it sounds like herpes, please go to the clinic, or hospital and find out, that way you can prevent others from it, plus most of all, treat yourself, its your body! You only have 1.. Good luck hun.

Sounds to me like a bad ingrown hair. You can go to the doctor if it makes you feel better but I bet its just an ingrown. I get bad ones occasionally and it can take a few weeks before the hair will actually come out and it will hurt the whole time, but it will eventually come out and be almost back to normal in a day or so.

Uhhh... What a relief, "floridagirl" I hope your right and its only an ingrown hair, I swear I will be sooo happy if its only that. And I will thank god for testing me because this is a huge reality check, and I will never have unprotected sex (or even anyyy sex) until I get married. So hopefully it is an ingrown hair.
But what if its not ... What if its herpes? Thats for life? How will it affect me, my partner, or my capability of having children in the future.
Please give me any more info. I still am not sure if its an ingrown hair, cuz its big, and everytime I check it the white stuff at the end of it (which looks like it wants to burst out) is getting more and more...But its not popping. The good thing is that I doooo see a hair in there. But I still cannot be sure. i'm scared to get a check up.

It sounds like mild folliculitis which presents as a small acne like bump which can be very painful to touch,

folliculitis is commonly caused by clothing related rubbing or shaving.

It is often treated with the same external medications used to treat acne. Keeping the area dry and clean will minimise the risk of the problem spreading.

Washing the area with an anti-bacterial soap is normally recommended along with a corn starch based powder to absorb excessive moisture.

Once the problem is under control using a mild skin softening cream will help to prevent the problem recurring.

I had the similar thing happen to me it turned out to be a bad boil.I would check it out fast w/ a Dr. I had about 10 w/ 4 months. Dr. Took out one surgically.It hurted like a mother.Put hot compresses.Also buy boil ease that numbs the pain away.But first call a hospital and ask for the nurses station and tell them ur symtons and they help u somewhat.I hope u have god speed to relieve ur pain. Also here is an update, I keep a tissue on it at all times, and I change the tissue many times a day. Well this morning I woke up and saw it had popped and all the liquid in it had gone onto the tissue. And now I can see inside it....Its pretty deeep!! Does that help you guys at all to recognize what it may be? I did have a hair in there which I also just plucked out. I am hoping it was cuz of the hair, but I am not too positive of that.
It is also burning me still so I dunno if I can put any cream on it? My appt isnt until after 2 days.
ya so let me describe it a little more... It popped open over night. Some redish white stuff was all over the tissue. Each time I go to change the tissue since then, I find more small spots like blood color. Remember this is not all the way down there. Its more upp like towards my waist line or bikini line. Inside it now I can see... Its deep, with like 2 levels. The outer is not as deep as the center. The center is more deep. And when I feel my skin around it, its like swollen or like some lumpy thing is in me. please help with more info.

Ok here is the deal. I went to the doctor today. She just looked at it, no tests or anything, and she confidentally said this is nothing that is sexually transmitted. I told her what you guys said here on the forum and she said....Ya ingrown hair, folictulitis (sp?), and bad boil are all 3 basically the same thing and probably what I have is something along those lines. She said dont worry about it, just keep it clean, try to avoid underwears, use ointment cream if prefer but not necassary cuz it looks good and has fresh skin to heal on its own, and she even said I can continue being sexually active. :d
what do you guys say about that?
