I am completely for same sex couples &same sex parents.
They're people, too. With morals, values, opinions, goals...
They have the same emotions as anyone else.
&.If two people of the same sex are in a relationship,
&they want to raise a child together, .I don't see why
it would be an issue at all. They can &will give a child
just as much love, nurturing, &support as anyone else.

I totally can understand that. I mean some people really don't like to see same sex raising a child because it is against the moral of religion and other things. I mean alot of people would say well .. For an example.. I got pregnant and my gf isn't the "technically" not the birth mother but I always say once the baby born you can start immediate adoption process to go through because it takes a year or even more to go through. I mean its normal to go through these kind of things.

A common stereotype is that gay men should not be allowed to adopt a child because they will obviously abuse it. All gay men are paedophiles of course

I think its best if kids have a mom and dad. Being 2 same sex parents is like a single parent family cos the kid either has moms or dads not both. Yeh they can be great parents, supportive, loving, etc etc but imo its not the best situation to raise a child in. Must be confusing and strange etc for a young child too...So in that way a single parent is better than a same sex couple. Theres good and bad points about both. A mom and dad is a lot better imo.

It wouldn't be strange for a child if that's all they've known since birth. Having two mommies or two daddies would be normal for them.

I'm bisexual but I am with dom and as far as I am concernerned always will be. Same sex relationships with children is fine in my eyes many people may disagree but would you rather have a baby in a hetrosexual relationship being abused when it could be adopted by a same sex couple who would look after it

i didnt mean like that. When they get to school and start getting old enough to know what a family unit is and that most/all of their friends have a mom and dad, not 2 the same sex. There was a documentary on tv about this last year, the girl was bullied because of it in primary school and had no friends, she was well adjusted, loved etc but very alone and depressed because of how her friends and friends parents viewed it, she seemed confused about relationships. Dread to think how much worse it would be when she got to high school. -thats just one of the reasons.


I dont think its a really bad thing, because its better than a kid living in a childrens home or on the streets, or with abusive parents etc but having a mom and dad is much better imo. If I have this baby adopted i'll choose a married man and woman definately.

Yeah but sadly for most kids they only have one or other not both, so having 2 parents would be the oddity, not the fact they are same sex

what? Yeh theres a lot of single parent families, but they dont see a family with a mom and dad as odd. Thats how families are best.

Wow that is strange. When I had just started school I had no idea that some peoples parents wern't together because every parents I knew were married so I was shocked to here that some of my friends only had one parent

yeah, I can remember when I was primary school (about 6 years old or so), the teacher told our class that this girl in our class's parents were getting divorced and to be extra nice to her because she was very upset. I had never heard of such a thing! It was like something out of the ordinary fot the teacher to make a speacial point of it.

Exactly I had no idea what divorce was!. When I was five I thought that if you have a baby tou become married and you are always together you don't leave eachother's side and you always have 2 kids. I have no idea why I thought that though

not at all. I find it disgusting to judge or criticize based on sexuality. The only thing I judge about a guy who's gay is that there is 0 possibility of us going out lol.

I was always into gay and lesbian rights growing up because I have friends and family who are gay, lots of them! I was the president of my gsa in high school and worked really closely with one organization called glsen (gay lesbian and straight education network) and even tho im straight its important to have a voice and stand up for what you believe in. In the midterm elections 4 states just outlawed gay marriage, its really sad in my eyes of how un excepting of love, happiness and family people and our own government can be. A dear friend of mines mother came out to him when he was 10 (almost 13 years ago) and she has been with her partner since, they have raised him just as good as in any heterosexual relationship. Love makes a family is the name of a great organization for same sex couples raising children and I think that anyone interested should google it and check it out. They provide support for parents and there children. I think same sex couples can raise a child just as good as heterosexual couples, the best thing a child is raised on is love.
