I was diagnosed with chlamydia by my obgyn three weeks ago through a cervical test (i went in for my yearly pap and she tested me for chlamydia and gonorrhea). She treated me with 4 tablets of azithromycin. My boyfriend was also treated that same day with the same antibiotic. We did not have sexual intercoursefor two weeks but I did perform oral sex on him about two weeks after the treatment. I also just had sex with him, three weeks after threatment, and discovered that I bled after sex (just spotting) and I also noticed symptoms of a uti (urge to urinate) today. Is it possible that the azithromcin did not work? What else could be the cause of these symptoms?
