Ladies - hoping I can have your input or thoughts.........
As some of you may have already read my past posts, I came off the pill in june after using it for 12 years. I think I may be experiencing post-pill amenorrhea b/c my af's have been 45, 50 & 51 days apart. Went to see the doctor, had the tests done and everything seemed to come back normal (hormones, no pcos, no blockage, etc...).
If my next af is around 50 days or so again, then I am not to get af until x-mas, so I wouldn't expect to be ovulating (but not entirely sure if I even am?!) until about 14 days before af is due (sometime around dec.11 or 12th).
However (and this has happened twice before in past af's), it is cd20 for me today and as of 3 days ago, I started experiencing very slight cramping and a bit more cm discharge. Today my bb's were a bit tender for a few hours but feel fine now?!
Any idea what my body may be doing? Am I reading a bit too much into this? It's almost as if I am ovulating, but shouldn't be for quite some time now. The hubby and I started ttc about cd10 (and will continue through to cd37 - dear lord!) to make sure we cover all dates b/c I have no idea when next af may show up, therefore have no idea when to expect o date!
Help! Just thought other's advice would be helpful Smile thanks so much!! And my apologies for making this such a long post to read!

no apologies for giving us all the information that is what we need. I too just stopped birth control (in may) and have had the same frustrating experiences with my cycle. If you think your ovulating you very well might be, your cycle may be coming back to a "normal" cycle length if you started o'ing on day 17 like you describe then you would expect af on day 31 thats a pretty typical cycle. I would wait until day 41 or so and see what is going on then, I know that is a long time but with your confused cycle it only makes sense to see if you have any symptoms before you start testing. Also I would keep bd'ing (baby dancing) every other day for as long as you can.

Amber - thank you for your thoughts!!! Although it doesn't sound right, i'm glad that someone else is experiencing the same frustrating situation as I am. I thought it would be easier than this to get pregnant!!!
I bought one bottle of ovulex though to see if
1. I will actually ovulate this time &
2. If it will regulate my cycles a bit more!!! (at this point, even a 35 day cycle would be welcomed!!!!
Have you looked into taking it to help you? I researched it quite a bit before buying it, and thought I would try it. I have noticed more cm, but nothing else too much right now. They say it takes 2 weeks for it to kick in and start working, and i'm only on day 5! Ahhh, everything is such a long wait!
But thanks again for your advice. I will watch my temp's and see how things are going around cd41-43. I have had quite low temp's the past 2 mornings, but it could be from being so tired as well! I really wonder how much your temp is supposed to "rise/spike" if and once you are pregnant? Do you think it's that much more noticeable?
Good luck, keep me posted on how things go for you, and i'll let you know how the ovulex works if you're interested!
Poor dh is dying.....Bd'ing every 2nd night since cd10 and i'm only on cd25!! Poor guy - I haven't told him yet just how long we actually have to go!!! (until cd37 or 38!!!)

Cd is cycle day, a/f is aunt flo (period), where she has put 45-50 days apart she means the length of her cycle! It can all be abit confusing sometimes!! Smile

Yeah it can all be pretty frustrating (both trying to get pregnant and the "short hand")

i really haven't been trying anything special the past few months. I think if I "skip" this period i'm going to see the doctor and see what she has to say. I also think i'll start bbt'ing (basel body temping.)

from what i've read if your pregnant your temperatures will continually rise after your o'date with possibly a dip right after you o but before implantation. But I am not an expert on bbt at all.

Thanks ladies - sorry, I know the shorthand is confusing.....I don't even know all of them yet! Lol!
Well, we will be bd'ing again tonight....Even i'm getting exhausted!!!!! But, it's all worth it isn't it?!
I've been having some really strange dizzy spells the past 2 days, they come on quick, last about 30-45 seconds, and then go away....Weird.
Anyways, i'm still praying like mad that this could be our lucky month....Well, I mean next month when I can actually test!!!!!!
My basal temps have been really low the last few days, however, it's been around -35 degrees celcius here for the past 4 days, and i'm freezing at all times in my house!!!!!!!!!
Good luck and keep me updated on how you do!
