Q: Grain Success!!!!

Well, I finally did it after almost over a year. As far as I can tell, i've gone through the five day waiting period, my body is ready for a little bit of grain. Now, i've only been eating 1/2 a tablespoon in the morning, but apparently my diet does exactly what I was theorizing it would do. I had read in airolo's book that if you cut out carbohydrates your body will lose its ability to handle them. This worried me, but I thought something different would happen, though what he said sat in the back of my mind. I took a chance for you guys, but it paid off. Apparently, my diet seems to make the body handle carbohydrates much more efficiently than before, so even the smallest amount is enough to feel even better than before. I do not recommend just throwing it in there, I believe you need to go through the phases I provide, but I just wanted everyone to know that as far as I can tell from using my own body as a lab rat, this diet is perfectly fine and poses no threat in short term use (no more than 5 years, which is plenty of time). It may not even post any threat in long term use, but there's no way to tell that now unless I were to eat it for my entire life.

Stan,

that's great news! You're inspiring more people than you think. Personally, I don't think there are any adverse long term effects of following this diet. Clearly, it's all high quality foods. If more people ate like this, we'd all be healthier.

One word of caution here. I need to experiment more, but reading around it seems buckwheat, though a generally low glycemic food, actually has a slight blood sugar lowering effect and thus may need to be avoided in more severe cases. I'm going to thoroughly research grains to see what would be best for severe cases. It seems increasing it slightly causing a bit of a problem for me later in the day, but I need more testing to verify it.

Phew, screw that damn buckwheat! Dizamn! Apparently it must have a glucose lowering factor because I feel like shiat. Not bad, but it was definitely the buckwheat. If you try it, try it in very small amounts to see what it does and give it at least a week. Took about that much time to shawt me.
