I need advice..

I know im supposed to start the birthcontrol the sunday after my first period.. But I wasnt thinking and I started it the sunday after I got my first script.. Ive been on the pill many times in the past. I took my last pill, and I havent gotten my period which is unusal for me, cuz every time ive been on the pill ive gotten my period with in 2-3 days of comming off the pill.. Far over a week late.. So I never started the next set of pills.. Could I be pregnant or could this be caused because I didnt take the pill the correct way..? Id be greatful for any advice..

You may have screwed up your periods and maybe your body needs to adjust?
But you should also take a test soon just in case.

You are just going to have to let your body adjust since you messed up your normal cycle time. You have two options. Go off the pills and wait for your period to start, then start the sunday after your period, or just keep taking the pills and let your body adjust. This is what my ob/gyn would say at least. I would still take a test though.

I replied in your other post.

You would have messed up your cycle by stareting mid cycle but that it self was no biggie - you should have continued with your pill schedule, seeing as how you didn't you just messed up your cycles further still.

To put your mind at ease take yourself a pregnancy test.
Then start back on the pills. Stick to the pill schedule religiously and your withdrawl bleeds will sort themselves out.

You can start taking your pills on any day anywhere in the cycle if you so wish.

They say the first day or your period for two reasons
----it messes up the cycle less
----you don't need to use back up for the first 7 days.

They suggest sunday because it makes it easier to keep track of which day you are on. A lot of pills have the day printed on the pack next to each pill.
If this isn't day one of your period then you do need to use back up for 7 days.

If you begin on any other day then make sure to use back up for 7 days and keep track of where you are.

Starting and stopping will really screw up the cycles.
