I have a 4 and a half month old baby and I am not on any type of bc. Dh and I had sex on the 15th and again on the 18th of this month. Both days I had ewcm and I was wondering if you all knew if people are more fertile after giving birth and if so do you know why and for how long? It took me 2 years of trying to get pregnant with my little girl so I don't see how it could happen so quickly if it took me that long last time unless I was more fertile. I don't know if I am preggo yet but I am on blood pressure meds that may not be safe during pregnancy and I have already talked to my ob about that so the main thing I wanted to know is about the fertile thing...

Thanks... Wink

Hey, I am not sure whether you are more fertile after having a baby, but I do know that just because you were trying for a baby for 2yrs with your first doesnt mean it would take that long again. Things just happen sometimes. Considering you have said you had ew cm, the most fertile cm, there is a good chance you are pregnant again. I am taking it from your dates your a/f isnt late yet?
You havent said whether you would be happy about having another baby, but my advice would be as soon as you can test do it and see a doctor as soon as you can to get advice on the meds your on. If you arent wanting another baby your best option is to get yourself some b/c!!

Wishing you luck and I hope everything works out the way you want it too.
