I have a 4 and a half month old baby and I
am not on any type of bc. Dh and I had
sex on the 15th and again on the 18th of
this month. Both days I had ewcm and I
was wondering if you all knew if people
are more fertile after giving birth and if
so do you know why and for how long? It
took me 2 years of trying to get pregnant
with my little girl so I don't see how it
could happen so quickly if it took me that
long last time unless I was more fertile.
I don't know if I am preggo yet but I am
on blood pressure meds that may not be
safe during pregnancy and I have already
talked to my ob about that so the main
thing I wanted to know is about the
fertile thing...
Thanks...

The sticky at the top tells you when you
are most likely to be fertile.
"read this first...Information about
pregnancy" is what it's called.

Okay I know all about when I am fertile.
I have kept track of all of that for 2
years. I was wondering if you are more
fertile after giving birth and if so why
and how long. That sticky did not address
my question at all. I am going to test
but I wanted to know the facts so I could
decide on what to do about some things.

The facts are it varies woman to woman.
It isn't possible to know when you ovulate
unless you personally keep a dedicated
chart, and use ov tests.
Some women do indeed ovulate right after
giving birth or miscarriage and fall
pregnant right away, others like a good
friend of mine use no b/c and still hasn't
ovulated yet from giving birth 14/15
months ago.

the simple answer is that there is no
simple answer to that. some</>
women are more fertile. Others aren't.
These are the facts, if you do not wish to
become pregnant, use birth control. Even
if it took you and your husband 2 years to
get pregnant the first time, that doesn't
mean it will take that long the second
time.
Good luck.

And yes most women are much more fertile
after giving birth just not sure for how
long.
