Q: Pinkish Lump At Anal Opening

My wife is nearing 28 and had last week observed a pinkish lump just outside her anal opening,yesterday again in the night she felt some pain and showed me the same spot,which is inflammed,a small eraser size pinkish lump,i have been easing her pain with some lukewarm fomentation,itried contacting a physician today but the physician told me that I should show to a surgical specialist,pls advise

You might get better results if you post your question in multiple forums, such as: stomach, ulcers, gastric bypass, colon disorders, digestive & bowel disorders, or the intestinal disorders forums. It seems that the symptoms would be most recognized there.

Sounds like a hemorrhoid to me! But without examination you wont know, so a doctor is a better person to ask, particularly if it is causing her pain.
