Q: Genital Warts Immunity ?

Here is my problem. I started dating my current girlfriend about a year ago, and had sex around that time. Our first few times of having sex we did not use protection. I had not had sex with anyone for over 6 months before having sex with her. About 2 weeks or so after having sex with her, I started to notice bumps on my pubic area. I went to the health clinic and the Dr. Diagnosed me with genital warts. She gave me some aldara cream to use, but it did not seem to work that well. The other day I finally went to the Dr. And got them burnt off (hurt a little but not too bad).

She shows no signs of the virus at all. Could she possibly be immune to the virus and not have symptoms ? Even if by chance I didnt get them from her she would have probably gotten them from me. So im just wondering why she has no signs.

She does not know about this yet, I have been doing a lot of reading and research before I tell her. Any advice or answers to the above question or how to go about telling her would be very helpful. Please let me know. Thanks a lot.

Okay
I've always had a phobia of getting an std so i've always been careful with who I sleep with. But there is a shot that can help cope and/or prevent getting hpv(genital warts). Its called gardisil ..(i dont have hpv) but just in case yah know.

When you tell your girlfriend , tell her about this shot. Maybe it will make her feel better about this situation. She'll get the shot once then another shot 2 months later then the last shot 4 months after the 2nd. Even if she doesnt have it she needs this shot, so that she doesnt get it in the future. Cause there is stil a chance that you can pass it.

Good luck.
