Safe While Breastfeeding? Posted: 11-18-06 12:00pm
I have 2 cats and since i've been
pregnant, my hubby has done at the litter
cleaning. Well, he doesn't do it as often
as it needs and i'm sick and tired of
having to piss and moan to get him to do
it! my
question is... After I have brianne, I am
going to exclusively breastfeed, should I
still avoid cleaning the cat litter while
breastfeeding?

I hear you about getting the man to clean
the cat box!! It is one of the most
frustrating parts of my day.
I used to have a dog that would clean it
out for me. Nasty!!!
.
I think it would be ok. Obviously you
would wash your hands really well after
doing the nasty chore.

If your cats are strictly indoor and don't
have fleas, the chance of them
transmitting toxoplasmosis to you is low.
Your vet can test them to see if they're a
carrier for it if you're worried about
that, but you're probably fine. Just make
sure to wash your hands well after you
handle the litter.

I'm tempted to say no, very very dangerous
so you can pass the job over!!!
What- so you've gotta - give birth, learn
how to breastfeed, do night feeds and get
your boobs out in front of whoever every 4
hours .A.N.D clean up cat stuff
No no no no no.
