Q: Post Op Otoplasty

I had an otoplasty 19 months ago. About 2 months after the surgery my ear returned to its original position and hurt for about 10 months afterward.

I did everything the doctor recommended, but my ear is still senisitve to the touch and looks exactly as it did before the surgery.

Should I ask the surgeon to perform the operation again? Would I be expected to pay the full amount for the surgery? Would a second surgery actually fix my ear?

Thank you.

I have exactly the same problem, it is my second week after the operation and my left ear returned to its original position. I am definately going to ask him to fix it again. I know he will try to blame me but I will try to get him to fix it without paying again. After all they should warn their patients about all the risks, instead of that all they say is that it is a painless easy no-risk operation which in my case wasn't...

well, whatever you deside, good luck
