Q: Changing Pill Cycle

I've been on lutera since august and i'm quiet happy with it. I start taking my sugar pills on the second to last wednesday of the month. I was wondering if it would be safe to change my period cycle to a week before. So that means I would like to finish the pack, wait a week or two, and then start a new pack. Do you think is will be ok?

If you wait 2 weeks you will lose protection for 3 weeks, because you would not be protected for the 2 weeks you were not on the pill, plus an extra week for the pill to be effective.

You can do this if you want, but you will lose protection.

Another thing you could do is keep taking pills and not have a period week, but you are not guaranteed to fully skip a period on your first try.
