Hi, I noticed the other day I have a round, hard, unmoveable lump on my clavicle near the sternum. It does not move, and it is round and hard. It's about 2cm in diameter. About a month ago, I noticed there was a pain there, but there was no accompanying lump. The pain is no longer there, but now there's a lump there.

I went to the doctor last monday and he said he doesn't feel it's a lymph node because of where it is--it is on the surface of the chest wall, but he doesn't feel it's on breast tissue either, as it's too high. He says it's right on the clavicle, where it begins to turn downward towards the sternum. He did an x-ray and it showed nothing.

He wants me to wait a couple of weeks to see if it diminishes.

Also, and this may be related, about a month ago as well, I remember me and my son playing when he accidentally hit me in the chest. It hurt, but it didn' hurt that bad where I thought I would get any serious injury. I'm not sure if that has anything to do with this lump or not.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

My current concern is that this could either be 1) lymphoma or 2) breast cancer.

Thanks.
