Can You Explain a Little More?
It would help if you could explain what happened with your state health insurance - was it cancelled for non-payment, did the company stop offering the coverage, or what? By law, each state must provide at least one health insurance plan for individuals who are essentially uninsurable (unless they happen to be under a group plan, which, since you're self-employed, I assume does not apply).

Existing Medical Conditions Make It Hard to Find
Hello,
unfortunately, with your pre-existing medical conditions, finding a company that will cover all your healthcare needs will be difficult. There are several companies out there like humana, but they will definitely waiver any existing medical conditions, if they agree to cover you at all.

Alternative to Health Insurance
I know it's been a while since you posted, so hopefully, you've found health care coverage. If not, have you checked into the various discount health care plans? There are several out there. Of course, they are not at good as health insurance, but they will save you $$. I have one of them, just because health insurance is too expensive.
Good luck.

hmm since you are self employed...as long as you have two full term employees (if you have a spouse perhaps a co ownership) you can qualify for group health insurance which takes all health conditions (even cancer) it doesn't matter whether you have had it already or not.

I live in California and had a friend who had a similar problem.

Try out something like datahealth.co.uk. It might help.
Loads of information and other stuff for you to check and do.
