I can only tell you waht I was taught when I was pregnant - but I know a lot of usa girls do different.

*don't give cereal or rice before 4 months - without speaking to your doc.
*never give cereal or rice in a bottle - use a baby spoon.

As I say I know a lot of the usa girls do give rice or cereal in a bottle but I was always told that it is a major no-no.

I wanted to give it to one of them cause she is up every 2 hours sometimes an hour and half to eat. Doc told me to feed them every 3-4 hours but how can I do that if they want to eat every 2 hours

Your doctor has issues..Every baby is different. If your baby wants to eat every 2 hours then you should feed her every 2 hours. My son is 6 months and during the day he still wants to eat almost every 3 hours.

Do not give a 3 weeks old baby anything other than milk! Their digestive systems just can't cope with other foods until they are much older - more like 4 months as kia said. Maybe, at a push, 3 months but def not 3 weeks!

Wow. Oni's doctor put her on cereal at 3 weeks. And solid foods at 5 weeks. I spoon fed her at 3 weeks(it was tough and messy as hell, but it was worth it.) she slept through the night at 5 weeks. And still gives me no problems.

My daughter is a beautiful, healthy little girl.

Ask their doctor, not us, about what you should give your child.

I wouldn't suggest giving such young baba's cereal in their bottle, as they can choke on it.

But again, ask their doctor, not us.

talk to your doctor. Feeding babies cereal does not mean they will sleep more.

I tried that with my daughter to get her to sleep more. It had the opposite effect! She was up more! When I told my doctor at our next appointment, he laughed and said that can happen.

Feeding babies cereal before bed to get them to sleep longer is a wives tale. If they do happen to sleep (like having sex to induce labor or eating spicy foods) then you think it was the cereal.

Being up every few hours at this age is very normal.

You shouldn't ask for advice and then be rude about your answers. Listening to the doctor is the best idea therefore that will be the advice you get.

Sarah, why did oni's doc start her on baby food so early? I don't remember if you ever said.

I believe I gave .Brian & .Jordan rice cereal between 4-6 weeks. It definitely helped my boys sleep longer. I was breastfeeding and they woke up so often.

If you decide to give them it, make sure it's extremely thin in texture.

But I mean come on. She thinks i'm bashing her about giving them cereal, and i'm really not. It's just medical answer up.

I had the 'baby blues' and was edgy, but come on, I wasn't trippin that hard when someone gave me the advice to talk to their doctor over listening to us!!!!!!!!!

I'm over the drama. I can't make that any more clearer. If I say something, i'm seriously not trying to medical answer offend anyone.

Edited: i'm goin feed my child and put her night night....I'll be on tomorrow. I'm going rest my brain....
