Hi,

i am currently awaiting test results there is a possibility that I am a type 2 diabetic or have an underactive thyroid. I have individual health insurance through anthem. They already charged me a higher rate because I am heavy, which I am trying to change because I joined weight watchers and take an antidepressant. I have heard how if you are diagnosed with a condition they don't like or see as a high risk they jack up your rate like to a rate that is pretty much unaffordable. I will know my test results today and am a nervous wreck because I don't want to lose my health insurance. I will probably pay for my diabetes meds if I have it out of pocket because I wouldn't want my insurance finding out but they will already see the test results anyway. Is this something I should be really concerned about. I hate our healthcare system!!!
