Sorry this isnt on subject...But I need help...

Does anyone own one of those tall lamps, in the shape of a lava lamp but is filled with water? And when u plug it in, theres a thing at the bottom which makes lots of bubbles and lights up different colours, and u can put fake fish in it. I bought one today only it was from a dodgy shop and theres no instructions, I cant find any info about it on the net, just pictures of it.

If u have one, I need to know how long can you keep it plugged in for safely? So it wont over heat or can it stay on however long and its fine? The box says fill it with distilled water, well um is tap water ok? The writing on the box is all wrong like an asian guy was trying to write english and got the words mixed up, the box wasnt even closed properly...Ugh should I just take it back? Ive bought it to go in lucas' bedroom at night when I start putting him in there, so theres always a low constant noise. (from the bubbles) any thoughts plzzz!!?

You can usually leave these type of things on for as long as you would a table lamp - ie you make sure there isn't things that can knock it over or fabrics that can get caught on the bulb, it's on a steady surface, etc

Ok well im going to go back to the store, tell the guy there were no instructions/safety advice leaflets in the box and ask if they have any. He'll probably say duh no but worth a try... Evil or Very Mad

Thanks kia! I went back to the store and said about there being no instruction/safety leaflet in the box. He said you just fill it with regular tap water (box says distilled water), and plug it in like a lamp, he showed me the one they have on at the back of the store, he said its on for 9 hours a day and it doesnt get hot so its ok to leave it on all night if I want.

Im using a wall socket which does have an on/off button so i'll just use that. Thanks for the help sorry I was freaking out...Lol
