What should I do if my blood pressure is 189/60???

By all means, get it under control fast! I had high triglycerides and high bp after my by-pass surgery and my cardio md didn' t want to put me on drugs; but try diet and exercise. Especially eliminate sweets and refined carbs.

I (and perhaps the forum as well) need some more information about you and your condition in order to make any suggestions.

Answers to the following could be helpful:

Was this BP reading a one off reading?

Do you have another illness?

Are you the right weight for your height?

Is your lifestyle sedentry, active or very active?
