I've been off the pill for about more than a month and my bf and I live in different cities. He lives about an hour and a half from me and we only see each other when I don't have to work or on the weekends but sometimes it's hard to see each other on my most fertile days. So far, we've had sex last month on my most fertile days and I didn't get pregnant. I had my last period on october 30 and we just had sex on the 13 and early this morning (the 14) but when I look at my ovulation calendar, those days didn't look like they were my fertile days? Can anyone help me out here? I'm kinda confused about what to do. I just really wanna have a baby...

Oh yea and I also have lupus and rheumatoid arthritis. I was wondering if this could affect my chances of getting pregnant?

Welcome to ehealth! I am not a Dr. Sometimes it can take females a few months to get pregnant a few months after they have been off of the pill and sometimes stress can have something to do with it. Have you discussed this with your dr? You might want to check out pregnancy and lupas, foundation of .America inc. They might be able to answer a lot of your questions too. I do wish you all the luck! We are here for you, although I do not have lupas I do have a lot of other medical problems. You might even check out the lupas forum while you are here.

Good luck with everything! I have been ttc after coming off the pill early this past june, and no such luck yet.
I have been told that it can take anywhere from 3-6 months (or longer!) for your body to start to regulate on it's own after coming off the pill.
Try charting your basal temp (you can buy a thermometer at your local drugstore for a few bucks!) and if you see a dip in your daily temp around cd 15 (if you are on a 28 day cycle) then that most likely means you are ovulating! You can check to see when your fertile days are by looking at the website: babymed.Com
you just type in your average cycle (28 days, 30days, etc...) and click on "fertility calender" and it will pop up all the days that are good for you, your ovulation date, your next expected af and when to start testing!!!!
After a few more months, and if you are experiencing an irregular period perhaps you should go and talk to your doctor about getting some hormone tests done, etc....... But if your cycles are ok and you are ovulating, remember that it can take some women years to conceive and they (and thier partner) are perfectly healthy!!!!
Goods luck and baby dust to you!
