Ok, my girlfriend and I were have sex and the condom broke but I was doing some research and that right after your period its rare to get pregnant? Is this true? Or should she get the "morning after pill" to make sure

If you don't want a baby, go get the morning after pill. Assuming it's been less than 48 hours since it happened.

Otherwise, you're rolling the dice.

Also how does she get the pill? We are both 18 so can she get it on her own? Is it prescription? Or just over the counter?

The pill is prescription. Go to your local planned parenthood and they should be able to help you, if you can't afford to go to a doctor.
