Back Pain Answer A1872
A nerve trapped by a hernia of the inter vertebral disks or the vertebral osteophyt is usually a permanent condition that may cause irreversible damage of the affected nerve. Long term compression on the nerve causes nerve degeneration and destruction. You can consult an orthopedist or a neurosurgeon to find out what is trapping the nerve and how it can be treated.
