Hi Trish.
I know how you feel.We have been ttc for three yrs now with no luck.I tried charting but couldnt get the hang of it and checking my cm also.I went to walmart and bought a saliva ovulationscope. So I will try that.I was on clomid for over 8 mths with no success and one iui.I was told by the dr that did my tubal reversal I had im ovulating on my own. Then I found out dh has a low count so I made him a appointment with a urologist and they found a growth on his urethat tube and removed it,the dr says his count is good his hormones are fine so now I just need to know how long should we try on our own before I go back to my Dr.I have asked on several boards but no one has answered. So alot of us women understand how hard it is to try for a baby doing all we can and we still arent there yet.Good luck, mare

Getting Pregnant
Hi. Been there. I used all the conventional advice also, without luck. But I know for sure that the night I did conceive, I had an orgasm after my husband. Logically, it makes sense. A woman's orgasm makes the uterous contract, which actually pushes the sperm further along and aids them in their journey.

Good luck to you. You will make a terrific mom.

I Have Been Trying Since July 2003!!!
I have also been trying for over 7 months and yes it is very frustrating -- I have been thinking about buying the saliva ovulation tester too!! Will someone tell me how it worked for them and if they feel it is accurate or just a waste of time?? Let me know and best of luck to all of you trying to conceive. Good luck!!!!

So many women forget the basics of getting anything done when it comes to falling pregnant or trying to.

Patience & destressing are numbers 1 & 2 if you want to fall pregnant & number 3 is pleasure/fun/enjoyment.

When you become so uptight that you're counting & taking temps & so on etc constantly your body is way too stressed to fall pregnant - which is why many couples fall after giving up & adopting - they relax & enjoy.

So if you are ttc, try & go away for a short break, or make a weekend at home just the two of you like being at a 4-5 star resort; candles, perfume, some wine (being a little typsy tends to relax you both & so you just do it instead of working at ttc), some frozen meals or takeaways - so no cccoking or housework, take the phoine off the hook, or put on the answering machine - take some long perfumed baths together - I hope you get the ideassssssssssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Having said this I do believe that if after about 12 months of trying (without getting so uptight that you stop it happening!!!!) you aren't pregnant have you & your husband thoroughly checked by an appropriate dr, not just a local one!!

I took me a year to get pregnant with both of my kids, so there is hope. Some people take longer than others.

Im trying to get pregnant as well, im entering my third month and im currently ovulating now (i think) I dont really pay that much attention to, which I should if I wanna fall pregnant.

I try and do wot 1 of the ladies suggested and just relax, I try and have sex just b4 going to sleep that way u body ends up completely relaxed and in a state of euphoria, or in the mornings if I wake up b4 the alarm we have early morning sex when again our bodies are really relaxed and still feeling the effects of sleep.

I hope I helped and I hope we all end up pregnant by may, thats my aim (i know u cant predict) but heres to wishing and hoping

from someone who cant wait to have a jellybean all of their own

Hi
Someone mentioned that you needed a break. They're right. Stressing yourself to get pregnant wont make you pregnant at all. I want kids too;but i've also been your position. It was even harder for me to find out that I wasn't pregnant when I took the test. So, I put it in god's hands. He'll let you know when your ready. Just be patient and good luck!!! Surprised

If you have tried it in the morning and have tried it at night, then try an afternoon delight! As was said, relax, enjoy it, as after you have the little bundle of joy, you might not enjoy making love as much after the four hour feedings, dirty diapers, being tired, dirty house, then school day problems, pre-teens, teenagers, driver's license, your hair turning grey, woops, better quit while I am ahead, but, they grow up too fast.
Best of luck too all! And congratulations!
Sincerely,
sandy
