I am so medical question pissed right now at my husbands mother. The whole time nathan and I were in the hospital...She didn't come visit him once.!!! Her reasoning is... She didn't want to get the flu. She lives in the same damn place as us too...It's not like she had to drive 5 hours or anything.

Can anyone see why I am pissed??? He is her grandson for medical question sakes. I find that so inconsiderate..And soo selfish. I was with him the enitre time.. (like any mother would be) sleeping with him in the same bed....Kissing him.. And I haven't caught it.

medical question i'm mad....Sorry just wanted to vent.

I expressed my feelings to hubby, and he sides with her....Of course...

Since it's serious enough for him to be hospitalized i'd be p*ssed. To my way of thinking there would be no reason for her not to show up unless she has a weakened immune system or something equally dire.

No....She's just a hyperchondriac (sp)

just going to the damn grocery store your exposed to millions to different germs and viruses, and she's happy to go there, and doesn't take any precautions. Atleast at the hospitals, they give you the hand sanitzer stuff, and the housekeepers are going like whirlwinds sterilzing stuff these days.

She wants to come over to visit him know that were home, and i'm saying no medical question way

If she was scared to catch the flu in the hospital then she should be equally scared to catch it in your house.... Wink

I blew on my mother in law when she tried to allow .Oni to suck her thumb after I had just told her not too!

Grandparents can be aggravating!

I agree with .Kay(tigres), if she comes to your house, go off!!!

*you* are the mother of this child. If you don't want someone there, then have it be that way.

If she does come, call her and express your feelings. All she can do is get the hint.

If shes really that scared the hospital has maskes and gloves etc for a reason adn that reason is not for the doctors to just look like aliens

thats her grandchild she should care about his well being and want to be there and see him to see that he will be ok, anyone who cares about a child would typically want to be there if its serious to be sure the child is alright
