With me, my friends, and our clients at the clinic, I can tell you first hand that the overwhelming majority of women are terrified of becomming pregnant when they don't want to be and do not want to be put into the position of having to choose.

People may be more relaxed about sex, which, quite frankly, we could probably stand to loosen up a bit more (europe vs america), than in the distant past but I don't see anything wrong with it. I do, however, see a huge problem in trying to get people to revert back to days when sexuality was repressed and women were told to "lie back and think of england."

Abortion is too expensive to be used as birth control. It is a back up method for when all else fails. The numbers of women who were using no birth control and became accidentally pregnant are so small that they are statistically insignificant but every time I come on this site it is that woman, and .N.O.T the responsible, intelligent woman who was just unlucky with her contraception, that is flouted time and time again as a justification for why abortion needs to be restricted to only those women we truly feel sorry for.

As a woman who experienced a contraception failure and then turned to abortion, I am sick of feeling demeaned as a stereotype is held as the "typical" model instead of myself. .I am the typical woman who obtains an abortion, not the straw-woman you lot have constructed just to tear down, disrespect, and demean.
