Birth Control Pill
Posted: 11-08-06 03:06am

Hi,

i am on a birth control pill right now, called levora 0.15/30. This is my second month on it, and the reason i'm taking this pill, is because my period been irregular for the past 6-10 months. My husband and i, we been trying to get pregnant for almost a year and nothing, so my doctor prescribed me to be on birth control for 3 months. I was just wondering, like some of the days I been taking my pill a little later then my normal time and my husband and I had unprotected sex couple of times, so if I got pregnant and did not know and still taking the pill, will something happens to my unborn child???

And also my last day on the pill is december 12. How long will it take me to get pregnat after the pill?

no the dose of hormones in the b/c pill is not enough to affect a pregnancy that does implant.

no-one can answer this.
Some women conceive the first month they try, some take several years.
On average, a healthy couple usually conceive within 12 months.

I have a friend that got pregnant on the same birth control pill, that i'm taking right now and she never missed a day, but she took the pill 3 hr late, had unprotected sex and she got pregnant. Her doctor said that this can happen.

Yes, 1-2% of all women who use birth control 100% accurate will still get pregnant.

But you didn't ask that, you asked if it would affect the pregnancy if you got pregnant and how long it would take you to get pregnant - so that's what I answered.
