While only a doctor can tell you if you did any damage, if you have truely only done it a little bit, you might be lucky and not have done any damage.

The more serious issue here is not if you have already done damage but is the fact that you are making your self throw-up. This is a serious issue and I was like you once before only doing it a little bit but it will get out of control if you continue. You say you are not going to anymore and that is good that you have recognized that you need to stop. Trust me if you can stop now do it.

If you feel you need help, get help now, it will be hard but definitely worth it. If you continue these behaviors you will damage your body: digestive problems, heart burn, acid reflex, sensitive teeth...None of these things are fun and those are just minor side effects.
However, you should see a doctor to make sure you have not done damage already. Everyone is different so there is no way for someone to tell you if you have or have not done harm to your body.

I wish you the best of luck!

i'm recovering from bulimia and from eating disorders nos (not otherwise specified) and I know what's like when you say you're going to stop. It's never a good day to stop and you keep doing it. Please, stop. Don't worry about the physical damage you may have done to yourself, but the damage, both physical and psychological (the worse one) that you may still be inflicting to you. Stop! Get help!
I'm here if you need to talk.
Get better and good luck.

Yes, please stop while you can...
Im in recovery too, and trust me, I wish I had never started.
I now have such bad digestive problems, im in constant discomfort, and constantly bloated...Im taking more pills now than when I was bulimic.
Its a vicious cycle, and it will pull you in.It will destroy your life..
And I have to say, your health will probably be the least of your worries.
Personally, it affected me in every way.I dropped out of college, not getting the grades I should have.I got a job, and got so ill I was forced to quit.Unemployed, I was still spending huge amounts of money everyday on food.I stopped going out, I lost my friends, my family became distant.I hated myself and life. All I cared about was eating and throwing it back up again. It wasnt a life.
Please, please...Go and see your doctor..Get in touch, if its at all possible with a cognitive behavioural therapist..You need to stop.

Well, its been more than 3 weeks now, and I haven't done it since.
The best part is that I haven't binged or wanted to throw up anything.
I made a dentist appointment to check out my teeth, and talked to a psycyhiatrist about it.
I'm feeling and I think getting better

That's fantastic to hear! Roopoo's decscription pretty much sums up many of our lives in a nutshell. I'm 40 now and had such hopes for a career and dreams, etc. Etc. And bulimia destroyed my youth and is serioulsy messing with what i've made of my adult life. I started just like you...Just a couple of times to drop a couple of pounds, and then i'll stop. Trust everyone on here, it's not that simple. No matter how strong and independant you are, bulimia tends to get the better of most of it's victims. To me, you are in the small percentage of people who started, and are quitting early enough that you can honestly believe that you will never do it again. Hang on to that belief and make damn sure you don't do it again, or you'll be on here in 8 years time giving the same advice to someone else and summing up your life in that same nutshell. I wish you the best and your posts are actually an inspiration to a lot of young people starting out, so good for you! Smile

I'm bulimic. I just realized it a while ago.. I mean, my friends tell me i'm pretty and I have boyfriends and flings and stuff.. But I just can't see it. I know my face is pretty.. But I can't see the prettiness in my body. It kills me. Before it was just throwing up when I ate too much or was too full.. Now it's when ever I eat something that's not fat free or isn't healthy.. But I can't control what I eat of it and I hate it. I just came home today and ate a granola bar, and cookie dough! I can't stop! What do I do to control my flipping eating patterns?! I do sets of fifty crunches twice, sometimes three times a day.. I want to get better.. But I want to look and feel thin.. I'm fourteen years old.. Help from the wiser ones?...

Mostly now, i'm just worried about how bad my teeth are now!
I've been worrying non stop now, since the dental apointment is coming up.
I dont think i've done too much damage after less than 3 months, but who knows what i've done.
Pictures on the internet scare me so much and have been keeping me from doing it.
I'm just driving myself nuts with worry

And you certainly have reasons to be worried. Look, the best way of stopping to have all these worries and problems is to stop throwing up and so on. Really, you'll feel better and you will be better and heathier. Believe me. This ed of mine has caused me to have too much trouble already... :\

Well, I still haven't since I said I stopped.
Its been a while now. I haven't had an urge to, nor have I binged either.
I have felt better and I know better now to even get messed up in that ever again
