Q: Health Issue -- Not Pregnancy Related

I have had this vicious, intermittent, stabbing pain on the right side of my stomach for two days now and it hurts when I stand up. I had it around the same time last year but it only lasted an hour or so and then went away, so I didn't have it checked. If it doesn't go away by tomorrow then i'm going to sched an appt with my doc, but I just want to know if anyone has had this sort of pain. If so, did you go to the doc and what was it? I'm not asking for anyone to diagnose me over the internet, i'm just curious to know if anyone else has experienced this.

Yeah, I do actually. I better just go to to doc because if it is my appendix I don't want to wait around and have it rupture. That possibility never occurred to me.

My little sister just had that same pain on .Oct 30th.
She could hardly move it hurt so bad.
We were convinced it was her appendix.
So my dad rushed her to the .E.R, &they
had to do all kinds of tests on her, &a cat scan.
But it turns out she just had a really bad urinary tract infection!
Who knew!

Oh sh*t! You know what? I'm the farkin infection queen. Screw appendicitis. It's probably another d*mn infection! Aaaarrrrggghhhh! I know exactly what i'll do. I'll drink some cranberry juice and if it feels temporarily better then i'll know that it is and have a script called in. Jeez, I have no idea why I didn't think of it first. I mean, after all I haven't had one in november yet and just two in october. I mean, technically i'm overdue!!!!! Twisted Evil

sorry for the sarcastic rant, I just don't know why I didn't think of that first and I was just talking to kia about it.

Last week thats what I thought was wrong with me...I had super bad pains, and thought it was my appendix...
I went in and it was a bad urinary tract infection. The doc gave me antibiotics, but I never got them filled because, they say you can get yeast infections from rx's...And I didn't want one on top of it....
Well I got one anyway, and my uti...Is unreal bad right now. My pee was like army green. I can hardly move, I am so sore, and all I feel like doing is sctaching my vagina. How attractive is that? So much for the baby making this month!!!

Take the meds. Rolling Eyes
*if* you do get a yeast infection just apply some canesten cream or even plain live yoghurt.

Do not leave a uti untreated - it can get far far worse.

Hmm yet on another post you say you had a uti last week and a yeast infection this week - so did you take the meds or not? Do you have a yeast infection or not?

Crikey, that's all it is. Another infection. To top it off I woke up this morning with a sore throat. I won't have to get another script though I don't think. My doc's gonna call in a z-pack so it should knock out everything in one blow.

last week it was diagnosed as a uti. The doc gave me rx. (macrobid was the name) anyways... I didn't get it filled because I didn't want to get a yeast infection. They say that taking antibiotics gives you yeast infections. So since last wednesday night...Which would have been november1.....I have been suffering. Thursday I woke up, and I felt like I was getting iritated...Like itchy....And it stayed this way until yesterday when the thick white discharge appeared. I took the rx in to the phramacist and explained, and she said you probably have a yeast infection now as well.

A yeast infection is far less serious than a uti... You're better off taking the meds to cure the uti then treating the yeast infection. Also if you eat yogurt everyday you can prevent yourself from developing a yeast infection. My doc recommended it to me.
