Is it just me or does the poll not make much sense? What is it asking - are you 1)pro-life 2)pro-choice or 3)a fence sitter or is it asking whether you believe abortion should be illegal 1) agree 2) disagree 3) fence sitter?
Confused.
For example, someone can be pro-life but still not believe abortion should be outlawed. How would they vote?

i think thats what fence sitter is, I think its the grey area between the two!

It should be legal whether you agree with it or not, so that a woman can go to a trained professional and have it done safely, instead of taking a coathanger to herself, popping dangerous pills, or having some untrained person botch the job in an alley somewhere.

How can you be a pro-choicer but wish for abortion to be illegal? Then you're not pro-choice.

I am a fence sitter on this one.. But I do believe that everyone should have a choice at whatever it is. Wether to have a baby or not.
So I voted it should be legal

uh... That's a position one takes during a debate. I assume that this poll is asking for our actual opinions. If you are pro-choice, you believe abortion can be right in some, if not all, situations. Thus, you cannot wish for it to be illegal without going against your own beliefs.

Devil's advocate is considering options that would be unlikely or unusual.
Besides - no-one has to choose that option - and as it is no-one can complain that they are not given an option.

considering an unusual opinion does not mean you believe it.

and my point is that a poll is supposed to be your actual opinions.
So answering a poll wrong, simply to be the devil's advocate, is immoral.

But no-one's answered the poll 'wrong'. No-one has actually said they are pro-choice and want abortion criminalised, have they? I think kia just put the option in so all options were covered.

I'm also wondering how the hell someone can be pro-choice and want abortion to be illegal. The only thing that's close is that such an individual can accept abortions and the fact they happen, but may not choose that option for themselves in the event of unintended pregnancy. Any other possibilities make no sense.

Each stance on the abortion debate was given the option for illegal or legal.
Notice pro-lifers have voted for legal.
No-one has to chose that option.
It is there to play devils advocate - no-one can say the option wasn't provided and therefore their rights were taken away or whatever else.
It's an option - you can ignore it.
