I've been on the depo shot for about 3 months now. Now, I am posting this, not to be negative, but to tell my experience with the depo shot.

Like I said I have been on it for three months. At first I was happy with it. I posted before all of my symptoms that I had when I first recieved it. I believe I posted when I was on it for about two weeks. Now, on my third month I am unhappy. My sex drive is completely gone. It hurts to have intercourse and I bleed after also. I have had an ordor from down there and I am not happy with it either. It makes me feel....Hmm, uncomfortable. I have also been bleeding for the last month. It is spotting, but still bleeding to me. I have to wear a pad all the time so that when I do spot, I don't bleed through. I was aware of all of these effects before I started it and was just hoping that I wouldn't be one of the people to have them. But, unfortunalty, I am. I have researched the other types of bc and I don't want to have to deal with the spotting and the hurt during intercourse. I want it to be pleasurable. I am unsure of what the clinic will say when I tell them I want to get off of it. Completely. I don't want them to try and convince me other wise. I would like to hear how other people are with such things as the patch and the pill. It would be nice to know that I won't be bleeding 90% of the time. So please, any information, experiences, would help greatly. I don't really want to get off of it, but I also don't want to be unhappy.

I`ve been on the depo since last year in march and I stopped in january of 2006 now my cycle isnt so normal but when you have intercourse its very painful because I be very painful to but I havent figured out why I had pain. But if its your first shot you are going to have some symptoms like bleeding after intercourse and spotting but when you get off its goin to be the same but after a while you will start to have regular periods but if you continue to be on the shot you wont have a period like that it will just be a little spotting but then again it still depends on how long you will be off but bein off the shot made me happy.
