Q: Missing Pills. Pregnant?

I recentally missed 3 pills, I took two pills on one day and two pills the next day and I did not use a backup method when having sex and it was the day I took the first two pills. I was half way into the second week of my pills I have been on the pill for many years but i've only been on this certain pill for about 5 months. The day after I had sex I started a break through period which last for about 6 days with heavy bleeding, just like a regular period. I am due to start my period in about a week but I am wondering if it is possible that I could be pregnant from missing the pill but still having a period right after. Please help.

Doubtful
Hi there -
i would be really surprised if you turned out to be pregnant. Since you've been on the pill for a while, and you took a fairly large dose after you missed those 3 days, the bleeding was probably a reaction to the change in the hormone levels (from regular to none to a lot, all within a week). The relatively normal period you describe almost eliminates the possibility of pregnancy in any case. I would continue taking the pill normally and only worry if your period doesn't come at all next time.
