When I start breast feeding reese will it always smell so bad? Or will it be differnt?

Do you mean sour? Confused

.Is the fluid an orangish-yellow? That's colostrum. Mine didn't stink at all - it actually smelled kind of sweet.

Your real milk will come in a couple of days after you give birth. I haven't tasted my own, but my husband has, and he says it tastes really sweet. I don't think it's supposed to smell bad.

Yeah, that was probably it.

Milk is milk. The longer it sits out, the nastier it gets.

The next time your breast leaks a little, get a drop onto your finger and smell it. It actually smells sweet.

Alyvia *loves* breastmilk! And it's so healthy!

I seriously think that it was just the fact that you didn't change your breast pad. I breastfed chu for the first month (until my milk production slowed down and stopped) and over that time I never smelled anything sour. One thing about breastmilk though is that it does go bad extremely quickly. If you express it you should freeze or refrigerate it immediately. If you refrigerate it then you should use the refrigerated milk within 72 hours. If you freeze it I think that the limit is three months. Oh and the flavor changes with what you eat. One time chu wouldn't drink it because I had eaten chinese food and it had a very strong tangy/salty flavor. I had to resort to pumped that day! Laughing
